There is no new sitting. No perfect photograph required. Send us the photo you most want to remember them by, taken on a walk, in the garden, in their prime years or their last, and we make a portrait, an interpretation rather than a reproduction, in a light or dark studio setting, you choose. Finally, you are the judge of whether it is right for you.
Each portrait is offered in two studio settings: a light studio or a dark studio. There is no difference in price. Choose whichever feels most like them.
Starting with Black Labradors
Held Anew is starting with Black Labradors. Our studio reference for the breed runs deep, and the work shows it. Other breeds will follow. If yours is not here yet, join the waitlist — we will let you know the moment we open it up.
How it works
-
1. Send us your photos
Plus a short description of your dog: name, age in the photo, build, anything helpful, etc.
-
2. We make the portrait
You see it as a watermarked proof. If it isn't quite right, we revise. If after two rounds we still haven't got it right, you pay nothing more and we walk away.
-
3. If it's right, it's yours
The balance is charged when you approve the proof, and we send the final high-resolution file that you can print, share and use as you wish.
What it costs
The first £15 is how we begin. It pays for the careful time we spend with your photographs, learning about your dog, and making the first portrait proofs.
Then you see it. Not a finished file — proofs, watermarked, sent quietly to your inbox. If you feel the portrait holds your dog the way you remember, the remaining £34 finishes it in full resolution, ready to print, frame, share, or keep on a phone or screen. Forty-nine pounds in total, and only if the portrait is right for you.
If we can't get there, even after a second try, that's where it ends. No balance, no pressure. The £15 stays with us for the work we've done; nothing more is asked of you.
